The Food Pantry is accepting food and personal care item donations on Mondays from 9:00-noon and 1:00-4:00. Donations may be placed in carts outside the building. We also have a red donation drop box in the vestibule at Fareway for your convenience.
Our clothing room is closed until further notice, so we are not accepting clothing/household item donations at this time.
Monetary donations may be mailed to: PO Box 324, Geneseo, IL 61254. You may also donate on our website. Go to www.geneseofoodpantry.org and click the “Donate” button. Did you know the Food Pantry provides emergency rent assistance? If you are interested in helping someone pay rent, please write, “For rent assistance” in the memo of your check.
Our clients are grateful for the farm fresh eggs some local farmers donate throughout the year. Donations of fresh and frozen meats also help our clients stretch their food budget.
Are you starting to plan your garden? Please consider planting an extra row for those who cannot always afford to purchase fresh produce. Our clients truly appreciate the fresh fruits and vegetables donated from gardens in our community.
Food drives and continued donations from the community help us feed our clients well into the summer months. If your group or organization is interested in having a food drive for the Food Pantry, please contact us at 944-3165.
Food needs for this month are: Chunky soups, baked beans, canned potatoes, canned carrots, and peanut butter
Non-food needs are: Shampoo, conditioner, men’s deodorant, mouthwash, and dish soap.
