The majority of Food Pantry funds come from businesses, individuals, families, churches, schools, and organizations in the Geneseo area. Additional funding is provided through Grants, Memorials, Bequests.
Food donations can be made anytime during business hours. We accept all types of food, including fresh or frozen items. Please check the expiration dates.
Clothing donations can be made anytime during business hours. We take any new or gently used clothing but have a huge need for children’s clothing. Because of our space limitations, we ask that you limit your clothing donations to 3 bags or boxes per day. We also take household items such as kitchen utensils, small kitchen appliances, glassware, pictures, knick-knacks, etc.
The Food Pantry does not accept any furniture items. We ask that you PLEASE DO NOT leave furniture or any donated items on our front porch or dock. If you would like your large item to be listed on our bulletin board, please call the Food Pantry at 309-944-3165. Leave your name, phone number, and description of the large item. If a guest of the Food Pantry is in need of the item, they will be given your phone number. Alternatively, the Salvation Army, phone 563-323-2758, will come to your house to pick up items you wish to donate.
In addition to food and clothing donations, we accept monetary donations. Checks can be made payable to:
